‘Extremity’ level for ‘MechWarrior: Living Legends’

About the level:

I’m unsure who originally created this level. It has had three different ‘officially’ released versions, and a lot of level designers have tweaked it since over a year before ‘MechWarrior: Living Legends’ was released. It was a fun project making the adjustments to this level’s most current version.

Key skills displayed on TSA version of level:

-Changed terrain/object layout significantly

-Worked closely with Asset/Texture Artists to get needed objects for the level theme

-Added all center radar base structures

-Lighting adjustments

-Additional optimizations

About the level:

This was a W.I.P. level produced by ‘Spyro’ that I helped on. I made some major changes to this level but real life interfered and I wasn’t able to help finish it.  Other Level Designers have taken it over and it should be a released level at some undecided point in the future.

Key skills displayed on TSA version of level:

-Made major adjustments terrain for game flow

-Made major changes to base locations for game flow

-Created the ‘Northern Lights/ Aurora Borealis’ Particles

-Optimized the level in general along with existing particles

-First level to have two home bases that are uncapturable

-Added the dropship crash site

-Did some major lighting adjustments to the 24 hour dynamic Time of Day cycle

‘Kagoshima’ level for ‘MechWarrior: Living Legends’

About the level:

‘Kagoshima’ was a level I created about a year and a half ago, it’s my most recent released work for the ‘MechWarrior: Living Legends’ team. If I’d thought it out I would NOT have made this a bowl shaped level, I learned a lot about optimization and squeezing F.P.S. for all it was worth on this level. I had a small bit of help with the two larger capturable bases

Key skills displayed on TSA version of level:

-Did almost all the work on the level

-Special optimizations for lower end systems that run on LDR settings.

-Created some of the textures

-24 hour dynamic Time of Day

-Created all of the particles used in the level
